The Lontong Sayur
Street food of Indonesia. I took this picture somewhere in Denpasar - Bali, when I try this amazing ‘longing sayer’. Lontong means boiled rice in banana leaf. The rice is formed to a cylindrical and boil for about 2 hours. And Sayur means vegetables, in this option the vegetables are cooked in a spiced curry with boiled egg. I love this street food.
Thai Red Curry
When in Thailand, try this hot red curry. You can have it with chicken, fish, shrimps or any of your favorite meat or vegetables. It is really good, spicy and better to have it with jasmine rice.
Peanut Curry Chicken
Peanut and curry is very cool combination in making curry dish. The peanut will allow the curry flavor to expand more freely toward the main ingredients.
Indian Fish Ball
The fish balls are cooked in masala gravy in slow heat with herbs spices and seasonings. Intake more Indian chilies (bih jolokhia) if you like extra hot….hot…..hot…!
Malaysian curried squid is amazing. Nice flavor and taste, usually have it with steamed rice and pickles. Most people like it and famous as ‘kari sotong’.
My favorite Indian dish, very simple, tasty and yummy. It is chickpea curry with fried bread called batura. I can have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Cambodian Chicken Curry
Very famous dish! Most favorite dish in Khmer Cuisine. The tradition is to serve chicken curry during Khmer New Year or as offering to the Pagodas for monks.
Started with basic spices called ‘kroeung’ consists of lots of lemongrass, fresh lime leaves, kaffir lime zest, turmeric, ginger, galangal, dried chiles, rhizome, garlic, shallot and prahok (fermented fish).
Plus lots of coconut milk, fish sauce, sugar to add while cooking of the chicken pieces. Let go and try and have some fun with this amazing cuisine…!
